Description
Our Italian Queens are derived from the stock of Richard Sims (Queensland) and Joe Horner (NSW).
We mate our queens at our dedicated property in Numeralla, NSW. We are progressing our lines of queens, aiming for acclimated bees that perform well in cool climates. Sometimes the queens are more a golden Cordovans colour, other times they have the stripes that are typical of Italian queens.
These queens are always over-subscribed and sometimes hard to get. If you happen to find the Italian queens available on this page, then you are fortunate. Otherwise, go to our over-wintered nucleus product line page or sign up early for these queens next year.
Our queens are not banked. They head a colony at our mating yard until they are sold.
When purchased, our queens are marked and provided in a JZBZ enclosure with attendant bees and fondant. All our queens are shipped via Australia Post Express Parcel Post to reach you as quickly as is feasible.
Italian Queens queen bees are available from mid-late October of each year.
