Where does the beeswax come from?
All our beeswax is recovered from the 2-3 year old honeycomb in our colonies in the Southern Tablelands, NSW. The standard wax is usually older than our premium beeswax and has a more golden colour. Our premium wax is extracted from freshly drawn honeycomb, which is produced in the same season as it is harvested. It has a much lighter, creamy colour.

How do we process our wax?
The wax is recovered by steaming the hive frames and recovering the wax. The wax is then placed in a settling tank, where the detritus from the steaming process is allowed to sink to the bottom of our heated wax storage container. It is again filtered through muslin cloth before being poured into the appropriate mould for the required weight. The wax is then stored in a refrigerated space in our processing shed until it is wrapped and shipped to you.
